Steve Weinrebe is an Adobe Certified Photoshop Instructor (ACI, CTT+), author, and award winning photographer. Steve has been teaching Photoshop to adult students and working professionals since 1991, and was one of the first instructors to be Adobe Certified for Photoshop, over a decade ago. Steve is also a faculty member of the Maine Photographic Workshops, and an ACT 48 Cont. Ed. authorized provider.

Steve's book 'Adobe Photoshop and the Art of Photography: A Comprehensive Introduction' (Cengage-Delmar Learning, 2008), provides a complete introductory Photoshop course featuring original photography and easy to understand text and illustrations. The book also features original interviews with noted photographers discussing how they work, and where Photoshop fits into their workflow. This is the first textbook written to teach Photoshop to students in photography programs being introduced to Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop and the Art of Photography teaches Photoshop as a tool in the tradition of photography tools, with an emphasis on the quality of the image and the photographer's eye.

As a well regarded expert on Adobe Photoshop, and beta tester for Adobe on Photoshop, Steve has been featured in radio interviews for both InsideMacRadio, and InsideDigitalPhotoRadio, and was featured in a cover story in Digital Imaging Magazine. Steve has written tutorials for the Photoshop User web site, and writes tutorials and articles for Double Exposure, the newsletter of Photoworkshop.com. Steve also writes a blog at ModeStudio.us, on Photoshop, photography, video, and the convergence of media technologies.

Steve has won numerous awards as a professional photographer, and his work is published internationally. His awards for photography include the Art Directors' Club of Philadelphia, Association for Multi-Image (Boston), Association of Medical Illustrators (Boston), The Design Show (Boston), and the Marketing Report National Awards. Over the years Steve has produced work for numerous Fortune 500 clients including IBM, Verizon, New Balance, and Blue Cross. Steve has produced photography and photo-illustrations for advertising, editorial, corporate, and catalog use. In 2006 Steve won a Videographer award for online instruction on the video applications of Photoshop, for the training DVD "Inside Adobe Photoshop CS2" for Magnet Media Films in NYC.

Steve has taught both photography and Photoshop at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and recently joined the part-time faculty of the Maine Media Workshops teaching advanced digital classes in both the photography and video departments.
