Online Photoshop Training via Acrobat Connect is for advanced Photoshop users who are looking for help in specific areas. Typical advanced user issues might be advanced masking techniques, best practices for saving images for web or print, spot channels, text tool and styles, HDR imagery and so forth. I have helped teachers develop curriculum, law enforcement personnel establish workflows, the list goes on. If you are a working professional seeking the next level in Photoshop use and cannot bring me in for an onsite training, then consider an online training to meet your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is an online training like?

A: I use the best distance learning software to maximize your learning experience. We will talk and work together and you will see all my Photoshop activity on your computer screen.

Q: How many people will be in the training?

A: Only yourself. I only offer online training as one-on-one classes, so that you have my undivided attention during the class.

Q: What will I need?

A:

Q: How do I know my computer will work?

A: Any recent computer should work fine. If you can run Photoshop, then your computer should work for the online training connection as long as you have a high speed internet connection.

Q: What will I see when we are in the class together?

A: You will see my computer screen on your computer, with Photoshop open and all my activity as if I were doing it on your computer, except within the window of the online learning software.

At times we may switch roles so that I can see what you are doing on your computer.

Q: How do we communicate during the class?

A: We talk over the phone, preferably speakerphone. You should have a hard line phone if possible so that your portable doesn't run out of juice during the session. The call will be free; if you do not have unlimited long-distance, I do and will initiate the call.

Q: How should I set up for the class?

A: Have a telephone (preferable with a speakerphone) near your computer. Be comfortable and ready for each 3 hour session, but feel free to take any needed breaks during the session. It's informal but I want you to make the most of your 3 hour sessions. If you have a web-video camera (iSight or Logitech for example) and you want me to see you we can work that out, but if not then I won't be able to see you.

Q: What is the difference between online training and classroom training?

A: My classroom training is for beginner to intermediate level, and in small groups of up to 4 students, in Moorestown NJ (1.5 hrs. south of NYC and 20 minutes east of Philadelphia). Classroom training is comprised of two full days on specific days each month (see the Training Dates link above).

Online training is for advanced users only, who are very comfortable with using their computer operating system, and are seeking help is specific areas of Photoshop. This advanced online training is one-on-one and I can generally accomodate your schedule.

If you're goal is to have an advanced or custom training only, then we may only have one or two 3 hr. classes depending on your needs.

Q: Can a friend sit in on the training?

A: Tuition covers one person only. If I determine that others are participating on your end I'll have to terminate the training. I cannot prevent someone from looking over your shoulder, but the quality of your classes will be greatly diminished if you are letting your attention be divided with someone else.

Q: Is the cost for online training the same as classroom training?

A: No, my classroom training is currently $795 for the 2 day training. Online training is $225 per 3 hour session. A complete introduction to Photoshop is four 3 hr. sessions. If you have prior experience with Photoshop and need only advanced training or specific areas covered, we can discuss how many sessions you may need.

If you are driving distance to Moorestown NJ then I suggest you sign up for my classroom training. However the clear benefit of my online training is that you can be anywhere, with a high speed internet connection, and take classes from me.

Q: How do I make payment?

A: Payment is in advance with personal check, or via secure credit card payment.

Q: How long are the classes?

A: We will have four 3 hour sessions, preferably each at least 2 days apart from each other, so that you can digest the material and practice.

Q: Do I still get a certificate?

A: Yes, upon completion I will mail you a certificate stating that you completed the Photoshop training with an Adobe Certified Instructor, which you may be able to use for employer reimbursement or to support your continuing education tax deduction.

Q: How do I sign up for online training?

A: Email me, or call (856) 222-9696. We can schedule the classes and I will send you an invoice for credit card payment or payment by check. All tuition payments are in advance.

Feel free to email me with any other questions.
